Memorandum of Understanding

On 2 December 2023, under the guidance of Mala Mustafa Barzani’s Office, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Swisscross, Mala Mustafa Barzani’s Office, Barzani Charity Foundation, Ministry of Health - Kurdistan Regional Government, and Kurdistan Higher Council of Medical Specialties to provide life-changing surgical care for hundreds of patients annually.

Following the signing of the MoU, mobilizer doctors were assigned by Mala Mustafa Barzani’s Office to conduct regular weekly patient screenings in accordance with Swisscross eligibility criteria. Patients considered suitable for the program are referred for further evaluation and treatment through the Swisscross initiative. Mobilizer doctors are currently active in the cities of Erbil, Duhok, and Soran.
